The album featured the number one hit track If Your Girl Only had known. Following the debut of the album Aaliyah won international acclaim for her work as an R&B artist. She was also on the screen in Romeo Must Die, a romance/action movie with Jet-Li. Joel Silver spotted her in an awards show. In 2002 she was in the vampire film Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. The Matrix Sequels was her first role in The Matrix Sequels. The actress has also been featured in major commercials of brands such as Volvo the world's largest auto producer. She currently lives at Los Angeles along with her wife, son and daughter. She also pursues her acting profession.
